La Maison Rouge
This cocktail can bestr be described as a Manhattan inspired by an Old Fashion that wanted to be a Negroni.
Recipe:
2 oz Buffalo Trace bourbon
0.5 oz Aperol
0.5 oz Pierre Ferand Dry Curacao
0.5 oz Dolin Rouge
1 dash Peychaud's bitters
1 dash Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla bitters
1 bar spoon of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry syrup
Stir well over ice and strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube/sphere. Garnish with a wide swath of orange zest expressed over the drink. Alternatively the cocktail can be served up in a coupe glass.
